Perform operation of high-speed production machinery. Perform repairs and maintenance of reloading equipment/machinery. Assist in the technical evaluation of new weaponry as required. Assist with the receiving of stores and ammunition. Manage high volume workflow in an orderly and efficient manner. Perform duties of the position whilst having an understanding of quality control and testing procedures. Ensure the safe handling of firearms and ammunition at all times. With an emphasis on customer service and corporate values, perform all duties efficiently to achieve corporate goals of the NSW Police Force. Remuneration Package to: $66,301. Package includes salary ($56,659-$60,083), employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. Job Notes: Temporary employment/appointment under Sections 82D, 90/91 or 95 of the Police Act 1990 for up to 12 months. Permanency may be offered. Demonstrated competency in completing minor repairs and maintenance of reloading machinery. Thorough understanding and practical experience in cartridge case reconditioning and high volume ammunition production. Demonstrated ability to operate high-speed production machinery for extended periods. Knowledge of regulations relating to ammunition production, powder storage and safety issues relating to machinery. Sound knowledge and demonstrated practical experience in firearm repairs. Willingness to give evidence in court to report on technical issues if required. Demonstrated communication, customer service skills and ability to work unsupervised. A current full driver’s licence with a clear driving record for the past 12 months.
